Cullercoats is a sandy bay enclosed by small piers in North Tyneside, sitting between Tynemouth and Whitley Bay in North East England. It is an excellent environment for families.
The south of the bay is a launching area for local fishing boats and leisure craft. The beach is backed by cliffs, which contain interesting geological features. Although not visible in this scene, there is also a small marine laboratory, working Victorian Lifeboat Station and Fisherman’s Watch House.
